My thanks and appreciation for this nomination goes to Rev. Paul of parallax, I am most grateful. Nominations by peers are a wonderful encouragement in the craft of blogging, and so I am thrilled to be nominated. If you haven’t been to Rev Paul’s blog, then please make your way there, and enjoy. My 11 questions given to me by. Rev. Paul are:

1. Name your best travel destination.

Vienna, ancient city of music.

2. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?

For me it was traveling on my own to Antietam battlefield. I was doing research for a book I am working on, a biography of one of my ancestors. He was a soldier at Antietam.

3. What is the most extreme thing you would like to do? Why?

Live happy as myself in the world. I’m not kidding. It’s hard to be yourself and happy in this world, at least for me it is.

4. Who has been the most unusual person you’ve encountered?

An artist called Ray Zupp. He’s also an actor and managing to be himself in this strange world.

5. What is you favourite poem/poet?

One poet – sigh. I grew up with poets as my father and brother were both working and published poets. I love words, and how they can change meaning depending on where they are put within the sentence. I feel I can’t pick one though. Different perspectives really help me get out of my own head.

6. What is your favourite novel?

Momo by Michael Ende.

7. Which piece of music is most moving for you?

One piece – not possible. Changes with time.

8. If you could be famous, what would you want to be famous for?

Finding a cure for some seemingly incurable condition.

9. Name you favourite movie.

One movie, WOW – changes I think depending. Right now Rashomon directed by Akira Kurosawa.  It is from a short story called the Grove and talks about human nature and hope (in the very end).

10. What inspired you to start writing?

My maybe selfish need to connect to people.

11. where would you like to be in ten years?

Still alive and making some kind of positive difference in the world.
