Evoke olden times

a trip south in bad weather

got home safe n sound

Tis true. First I stopped at the Ghostlight Coffee House to get a latte and then I picked up my friend. We drove south to pick up a cat for her. She had recently lost a cat and had the opportunity to get another, the mother of one she still has. We drove 3 hours, met our people at the rendezvous; a Cracker Barrel, had lunch, then drove home in more rain. It was an uneventful trip, I didn’t even get lost once. I’m happy my friend has a new kitty, and to be home safe, sound, and warm myself. The trip evoked trips I had done with family many years ago, and was fun as she talked about history and old movies, family stories. The snow has just started to fall. My dogs have their busy bones, have been out for a short time, and I am going to take a nap!

  1. Sounds like the distances here, 3 hours, for some a long drive, but I loe that you are helping the love flow here, such a great help to your friend, and a wonderful evocation.

  2. It was more fun than I thought it was going to be what with the storm coming in, but we really did need to get down there and get the cat. Heard from my friend and the 2 boy cats in her place are getting used to having a new girl cat. All are neutered. AND everyone quite happy!
